Seven countries...Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama have a combined population of about 43 million.

By bridging two continents Central America shares many migratory birds with both.

92 bird species are globally threatened.

Birds could very well live without us, but many…perhaps all…would find life incomplete, indeed almost intolerable without birds.
