Sericornis is Greek for silken bird.
Frontalis is Latin for eyebrow.
Before spreading around the world,
evidence suggests that songbirds evolved
50 million years ago in the part of
Gondwana that later became Australia,
New Zealand, New Guinea and Antarctica.
