Has a wonderful song...forages on
forest floor leaf litter for insects.
*Interior west race
   - grayer overall
Within a thick and spreading hawthorn bush
That overhung a molehill large and round,
I heard from morn to morn a merry thrush
Sing hymns to sunrise, and I drank the sound.
(John Clare)
Catharus in Greek means pure,
clear; guttata in Latin means
soeckled.
