               A thrush...closely related to the Common
               Blackbird...breeds in uplands of Continental
               Europe...winters in the Mediterranean.
          
         
            
               Unlike the blackbird, the ring ouzel is
               usually wary and wild, shunning the
               neighbourhood of human habitation.
